WHERE ARE WE IN THE PROCESS OF INTO THE DEEP?
Dear Parishioners of Pastorate #1,
Bishop Hying has announced that the name of our new parish will be St. Joseph the
Worker. I want to thank our transition team for its help to implement the Into the Deep
Initiative in a more successful manner for our pastorate. Remember, at this time, no
nancial merging has occurred. Our 6 parishes continue to exist as 6 parishes, and we
haven’t become 1 parish canonically or legally yet. I will communicate to the pastorate
whenever something signi cant occurs, especially from a  nancial perspective.  e
purpose of our transition team meetings is to discuss things that may be happening
in the future to our pastorate and to think through how we want to handle them as a
parish family.
e transition team will be meeting on March 17 at noon at St. Clement Church.
anks, and may God bless you,
Fr. Steve

LOVE BEGINS HERE MISSION TRIP
We are so excited to announce that this summer, July
8 – 11, we are hosting a crew of about 60-80 teens for a
Love Begins Here mission trip! Love begins here provides
middle and high school youth the opportunity to encounter
Jesus Christ in a life changing way through week long,
local mission trips where they live in Catholic community and continue His work here
on Earth. For the week teens are staying at Saint Clement, they will be doing various
service projects for our very own parish! A big part of what they do is helping individual
community or parish members with projects that they could not otherwise accomplish,
due to physical or  nancial limitations such as yardwork, cleaning, window washing,
painting, etc. If you or anyone you know would be interested in having a group of teens
and adult chaperones help with a project this summer please don’t hesitate to contact
Bill Seyer at 608-988-6543. Love Begins Here missionaries work in groups as small as
5-6 teens accompanied by 2 adult chaperones and depending on the size of your project
we could send out multiple groups for one or more days!  e only thing we ask is that
depending on the project, you would provide some of the tools necessary for the teens to
do the work. If you would be interested in having some help July 9 & 10 or know anyone
in need in our community, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Bill Seyer! We have 60-
80 enthusiastic and joyful teens looking to serve our community for a week so don’t be
shy, we need lots of work!
THANK YOU!
We want to thank everyone who attended our recent DINNER & A MOVIE!
We had a great turnout for both the meal and the movie, “A Man for All Seasons.
ank you to the KCs who organized this, those who assisted with the meal and

We also wish to thank Carl  iede of our parish who graciously donated new
chairs for the Fatima Chapel.  ank You so very much!

what He has done, we must do. Jesus calls us to serve Him in our
service to one another, to lay down our lives for others. Volunteer
sheets are in the back of the church. Please give a couple hours of
your time assisting those who long for a place to call home. Contact
Bill Manthe (723-4990) or Peg Jonas (723-2051) for more info.

YEAR OF PRAYER
With Sunday being the feast day of St. Patrick, we share with
you a portion of whats known as “St. Patricks Breastplate” or
“Lorica.” It’s a fairly lengthy morning prayer, some of which you
may have heard before – “Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ
behind me….” Below is another portion of this prayer.
St. Patricks Prayer for the Morning
“I arise today, through God’s strength to pilot me,
God’s might to uphold me, God’s wisdom to guide
me, God’s eye to look before me, God’s ear to hear
me, God’s word to speak for me, God’s hand to guard
me, God’s shield to protect me, God’s host to save me from
snares of devils, from temptation of vices, from everyone
who shall wish me ill, afar and near.Amen”
